happy halloween!! ...well, almost

I always like to start my Halloween decorating on the 1st. I figure that just early enough to enjoy them, and not be judged! Sadly, this year I was not granted the 1st off, and I instead I started decorating on Sep 24. I figured it would either be then, or Oct. 4th, and I could not just waste 3 days!!

Luckily most of my old decorations were still in good shape, so I didnt have to do a lot of shopping. Which is good 'cause have you seen this years decorations? Boring! Perhaps when it gets closer to the actual holiday, they'll put more out!

This year I wanted to try to stay with a them, Gothic Horror, 'cause for some reason I've been into skulls. Well as mentioned before there wasnt much to choose from, so I got a few things to fit in the theme, but not everything.

I love these skulls. They're candles, but there is no way I'm burning them!

Original table, but with a new candelabra. Kinda reminds me of the one in The Haunted Mansion Ride!

They are holographic. With neat frames, trying to stick with the theme.

I also attempted a Martha Stewart project, mirror glow eyes, which didnt turn out super, but I wasn't going to spend money on mylar.

See I used aluminum, and if your not careful it'll get to crinkly. But who cares, I love them. I even painted the bottom eyes red. I think they're perfect.

Ghost lights in the house this year, no outdoor area in my new place :(

Lastly my window. I got these creepy ghost for .50 cents added my spidewebs, and tra-la my spooky window! The other window is lame so I'm not posting til I have a better idea.

I love everything so far. I'm constantly on the look out for new decorations and new ideas. I'm working on a skull picture, the new window, and a Halloween tree, but if I left it as it was, I'd be happy. No outdoor patio sucks, but I think I did a great job adjusting!

Oh the Halloween book? Mom got it right! The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson.

  2. Love the decorations. I've started decorating but haven't pulled out what's stored in the Attic.
