jamas.

Today's Special is:

Jamas
(jaw-mas)

What is Jamas?
4 years ago Daniel and I just had gotten our first place and were struggling to pay the bills while juggling college, work, and shows. It was a tough time, and our good friends at work suggested this ramen recipe. Since then it's been a staple in our home. It is extremely easy to make and lets face it, it's a typical poor mans food, that was easily affordable!

Origin of the Name.
It was our friend James that suggested this recipe and at the time I was in Spanish 101 and had just learned the word Jamás: Never. So in our head James looks just like Jamás and so James=Jamas. Dumb I know. But it worked at the time, and it has stuck ever since!

Jamas Recipe
by Samantha

Ingredients:
  • 2 packets of ramen (we like beef)
  • 2 eggs
  • hot sauce (we use Tapatío)
  1. Cook the Ramen like you would normally: Boil water and add the packets and noodles. Once All cooked, about 3 mins, drain all the water and keep the noodles in the pot.
  2. Add the eggs and mix together.
  3. Add the hot sauce, as much as you like, and mix until every things is combined. Enjoy!
Using more than 2 ramen? Make sure to add the same amount of eggs as you do ramen!
